In the office, a number of practical measures can be adopted to ensure your workplace is aiding the sustainability of the environment.

• recycle toner and ink cartridges from laser printers, copiers and fax machines and set all workstations to default to print duplex
• install low energy lighting and position desks to make best use of natural light
• use a paper shredder to recycle excess office paper into packing for goods
• send artwork files electronically or utilising rewritable CD-roms
• use recycled stock in printers/fax for general documents
• refrain from using spray adhesives for mounting artwork
• turn off lighting and equipment when not in use
• 5 star energy rating on heating and cooling units
• use of motion sensor cutoffs
• reduce the need to print emails
• using organic waste bins to breakdown kitchen waste
