There are a number of systems that can be put into effect to reduce build-up of waste on the factory floor:
- disposal of hazardous waste chemicals through chemical treatment, stabilisation, controlled incineration chambers and recycling services
- segregating and recycling all plastic, tin, cardboard/paper, glass products and fluorescent tubes
- anodised aluminium printing plates recycled as new products
- financial return from consumables bought for recycling
- appointing an accredited waste management company
- replace ink tins with recyclable ink cartons
